    Hello all,

    My name is Patrick Eddy and I live in ZoarVillage in Tuscarawas County. I just joined the forum yesterday and wanted to say hello also. Will be attempting to start my first hive this spring! Thought I might find some helpfull info here.

    You were right is thinking this site might be useful. I just wish my other additctions had websites this good. Before you post questions, you might run a search, but there are tons of well meaning folks on this site to answer any question, or point you to the right answer already posted.

    Welcome Patrick, lots of information on the forum, and occasionally opinions. Local clubs and beekeepers to mentor you are the best experience.

    Hello and Welcome!

    I remember going on a school field trip to Zoar about forty+ years ago...

    I'm sure you'll find this forum to be a good site to learn more about bees and beekeeping. Be sure to check out the "How to Start Beekeeping" subforum - it contains a number of threads covering the basics. And, as AmericasBeek suggested, get involved with a local club. Clubs are great for finding mentors and getting connected to nearby beekeepers. Looks like there's a club near you:
