EGGLESS HONEY COOKIES

1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon soda

-Heat honey and shortening carefully for a minute or two. When cool add dry ingredients that have been sifted together several times. Roll out to 1/4 inch in thickness and cut with a doughnut cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 12 to 15 minutes in a moderate oven ( 350 DEG F. ). When cold frost with a powdered sugar frosting. Decorate with clusters of red cinnamon candies and bits of green gum drops to form holly wreath design.
