bigd, great to know there is help close by. I have NO notes, this will be my first year. Just came in from building my first hive. Some blood was shed but it was well worth it. It is a top bar hive, 4ft long, 16" on the inside at the top and 6" at the bottom. Entrance is near top, has bottom board. Haven't figured out how I am going to incorporate pest management in this configuration. So much to learn. And to all thanks for the welcome.
