New to beekeeping.

Not sure about these new words, thread, post, ect. First year bee keeper. Not doing things just right. Had to buy two new Queens during the summer. One took, the other didn't. Had some kids tie a rope to one hive and drag it off it's stand about 20 feet. Lost about 2/3 of the bees in one hive to varroa mites. Treating them know, but am still trying. Really do need a mentor locally. Going to try this as an aid. Thanks.

Check with your local county AG agent about a mentor and a local bee club. Good luck

Thanks, I'll need it. We had a person try to start a bee club, but had very few takers. Will try my county agent.

Hello Thunder, I use to live in Orangefield. Just a stones throw from you. I found a bee club in Port Arthur if you are not opposed to the short drive, maybe they can help ya out.
