    Default temperory obsevation hive

just a question. is it possible to put frames of bees in an observation hive just for a demonstration of a couple of hours or a day ? i thought instead of maintaining a obv. hive full time i could get a few frames out of a hive and then put them back when done. would this be too stressful? thanks

Yes that is a common practise for shows, school talks, etc.

Just ensure adequate ventilation etc and all should be well.

Make sure they have some feed and don't put them in direct sunlight. If you include some brood it would keep them busy. Just make sure you have enough bees to keep the brood covered.

The weather needs to be nice considering they're supposed to have brood and limited population.
