    Default Binocular recommendation

I was out deer hunting today. I have to wear glasses because i am near sited. I cannot see the deer at all, this has only been this season, not any of the previous seasons. This for obvious reasons is hindering our family's freezer filling. I need a good pair of long eye relief binoculars that I can use with glasses. Any recommendations on a pair under $80? I found a lot that were in the $500-1000 range. Thanks in advance.

    thanks

I have leupold gold ring (too expensive for your range) they have eyepieces that roll out for non glasses users or in for glasses wearers, they MAY have that same option on lower grade glass like the mesa or yosimite. If you can try to wait asnd save a little more for a little better glass it really does pay off! I got mine @ Bass Pro on a sale and saved almost $300 on them! Iwaited 3 years to get them too!

Binocs under $80.00 are usually not worth having, especially for challenged eyes. Save up your money and buy a good set. Steiners, Nikon, Leupold, Pentax, Leica, Minox all have good glass and features. The difference between these and the cheap ones will positively astound you, especially after a few hours of use. Check prices from some of the online camera outlets. For most hunting guides, binoculars are the #1 tool they use to make a living, so they use good ones and gladly pay the price. Far more important than the rifle you use!

I know I should get a better one. Like you all know I am 16 and have limited funds. I cannot even pay my sugar bill. Good advice though. A pair of them can keep you from killing a illegal deer down here.

Mike, go to OpticsPlanet.com. Check out the Bushnell Legend 12X50's, I have two pair and love them. Go to Bass Pro and look at them and try them with your glasses. They are on sale for 154.99, I paid 180.00 for them two years ago at OpticsPlanet. I know thats still more than you are wanting to pay; but hey, maybe Santa Clause....

I'm not sure if you could find them down there but i would suggest bushnell 10X50, I wear glasses and use these for star gazing, they have a ring of rubber around the eye pieces that fold back for us who wear glasses. In any case, don't get anything above 10X magnification or holding the binos steady enough to view objects will be tricky at best. 50 mm primary lens allows more light to enter so the bigger they are the better the view but the bigger they are, the heavier the bino's will be too. The bushnell 10X50's have been the best bino's I've ever own for star gazing and wild life viewing. they cost me 80.00 canadian at canadian tire but you might find them at a walmart. the brunton 10X50 would be good to and are around 50.00 canadian here, i think they would be good too.
