Rooftop Apiary at Boston hotel!!
We recently paid a visit to the InterContinental Boston, a four-diamond hotel on Boston’s historic waterfront, which has introduced the city’s first hotel rooftop apiary. Since early summer, the hotel’s colony has grown to more than 40,000 bees, hard at work pollinating the flora of an approximate 4 mile radius of the hotel, which includes Boston’s 21 acre green space, the Rose Kennedy Greenway. While the hotel won’t harvest honey this year, giving the colony a chance to build a reserve and survive its first winter, it expects to harvest as much as 40 lbs of honey season after season.

Re: Rooftop Apiary at Boston hotel!!
We have a restaurant here in Halifax that keeps hives on top of the hotel it's in. Then they feature the honey in several dishes on the menu.
Personally, I've thought about inquiring about access to rooftops here in Halifax in the future. There are an awful lot of large, sunny commercial rooftops around...

I like the wind break, just put the hive in a 3 sided box.
