Anyone use fresh lemon grass to make bee food/etc?
I've got a hedge of this grass, and seems like making a tea would be appropriate, then mix up some syrup with the tea...?

My wife says I have ADD, but, hey look- a chicken!
It makes a very good tea to drink. add alittle surgar. Very nice.
Also, great when you have a cold!
Take a hand full of grass add to water and Boil to a rolling boil(kills everything) then turn fire off to steep. Tea is a nice pale green with a very nice arroma.
In africa we call it Cha ja Balicate.

Many thanks...I've used it for people uses- tea, soups, crab boils
Seems many folks use the lemon grass essential oil, or an extract for bees. Figure if I've got it growing, maybe I'd apply it to the bees too...

I like the HONEY in my Tea also, gives it a different taste that I like. Add the honey after you brew the tea bag while it is warm. Try it, you,ll like it.
