Default Whats the best crop to plant for fall forage

I'm planting various clovers for spring and summer forage. I'm in North central Texas what would be the best crop to plant for late summer and fall forage for bees?

Buckwheat is cheap and give you a quick flowering. I planted mine about 3 weeks ago and I have flowers buds already. Available at most Southern States and Tractor supply type places for less than $1 LB.

Japanees Knot weed gives a good pollen source and a nice rich dark honey. check with local ag dept. be cause it will take over like kudzu.
