Powdered Sugar Application - Bellows?

Hi Folks,

Does anyone have any experience using the 'bellows' type of PS applicator? Does it work and is it as effective as dusting from the top? I'd like to avoid disturbing my bees by separating my two deep boxes repeatedly (and avoid the heavy lifting too!) if possible. I've not seen any instructions for this device, but I believe one blows the PS in from the bottom of the hive...

It didn't work well for me. Takes a couple hundred pumps to get a cup of sugar on the bees. Top dusting is a lot easier, & faster.

I use a shifter and just shake it over the hives. Seems to work well for me. I'll let know more once spring comes and i split my hives again.
