    Default Flower ID help

    Hi
Could you all help me identify this flower that is blooming all over the place in our area? I thought it must be golden rod- but having never noticed what flowers looked like before I got bees I never knew what golden rod was. After taking a closer look it doesn't look like what golden rod was. In the close up you can see that there are a couple of different blossom types on the same plant. Very curious.

Could it be Curlycup Gumweed, Grindelia squarrosa? I understand it is in the Asteraceae family.
