I am a new beek. I did a cut out of an old farm house for an older couple this summer. She had killed probably half the hive before I retrieved them (they were going in her house). So the hive was a bit small. I tied up brood and comb in a KTBH. They had a slow start but are just now starting to thrive, I have been feeding.
I am wondering what I should be thinking as I am going into fall about this hive. How should I be preparing them to hopefully make it through the winter here? They still not full strength.
My other hives are langs and are thriving, but I am partial and excited to get these top bar hives going...
Thank You --
