Greg, I have a cpl of questions. At 1:32 into the video it looks like a frame of brood going thru the uncapper. How often does this happen? Also how long does it take to spin out 120 frames in the extractor? Run time?

yeah that is a frame of brood. we try to sort the brood out in the bee yard, but some frames still get extracted. i'm not positive but a load of deeps takes about 11 minutes and a load of shallows takes around 9 min.

nice set up gregg so how many people are working there? i counted 8 is that right? how big of storage tanks do you have? And how are you melting you wax after it is spun?

we have four 1000 gal storage tanks for holding honey. for melting wax, we have 2 600 gal milk coolers that are filled with about 4 inches of water. the bottom is lined with copper steam coils. we scoop about 11 barrels of wax onto each tank and then shoot the steam to it. after about 2-3 hours all the wax will be liquified and can be skimmed off. with good clean wax we get about 75 40lb blocks every time we process wax

Do you scrape bottom of frames at all? Does one guy feed boxes onto both uncapper lines? Nice looking frames - very few dark comb. What kind of honey being processed?
