It looks like you snap it onto the candy tube of the cage (with the plastic cork open), then put the open end over the queen and wait for her to walk up the tube into the cage. Looks simple enough to do it even with gloves on. Probably can even get workers into the cage this way as well with some patience.

Personally I just open up the the end of the cage and shoo her into the cage, closing it when she is at the other end of the cage. Then I stuff attendance in, catching them by the wings and putting them in the cork hole. But you can't do this with gloves easily.

I'm bumping this thread to see if anyone has used this product and actually knows how you are supposed to use it. I ordered one and have it on hand, because I'm all for finding a better way to cage queens with less chance of harming them. The JZsBZs cages fit on like hand in glove, but do you just cover the queen with the thing and wait for her to climb in? It looks like there would be a good opportunity for her to climb back out while you were removing the cage and installing the plug.

Right. It's probably so simple in use that it needs no explanation. I guess I just need to give it a try.

Yep. Thumbs the word... try it out on a drone and some workers David, its really quite easy, but still a little slow for me. ;-)
