Default All brood hive for splits?Possible?

I plan to make more splits in the future. It crossed my mind if it would be a good idea to select one of the best hives ( few SHB, strong performer - you select), remove the queen excluder and let the bees spread the brood throughout two FS 10 frame boxes? I would not extract any honey but simply take out brood frames to set up nuclei hives as often as the bees produce more brood. I would expect the hive to produce queen cells regularly which could be used to keep the traits going ( leaving the drones to do the selection.
Could this work?? Anybody tried this?

How long have you had Small Hive Beetle in Australia? Are you concerned about Trapilaelaps clareae?

If you are constantly taking brood from the hive they won't gain enough population to make swarm cells.

SHB has been around for about 8 years. Trapilaelaps clareae is not ( yet) in Australia.

Correct - I guess it is a matter of careful management. Do you think it could work? be worthwhile to try?

I don't know if it would. I wouldn't do it. But, what do you have to loose? You might learn something. You might learn that it works or you might learn that you shouldn't have done it. But you will learn something. Which is good, right?

So, the rumors about T. clareae being in Australia and w/in 100 miles or so of where queens and packages are produced is a false rumor? Thanks for the update.

Mark - I'm no expert on Bee Diseases in Australia but I just Googled and the latest Government report which came up says so.

Thanks. Sorry to be so off topic. Wish I could say more about your idea. I hope it works out well for you.
