    what size do the baby bees, eggs or larva, need to be?

    Look for a really tiny one, then find one that is 1/4 that size.

    I just did some of that this weekend. BoTBees is actually right. You find what you think is a nice one, then you spot an even smaller one next to it... In short, find the smallest you can that aren't eggs and gently lift them out. Don't flip them in over in the process though, they'll drown. I just did 26 of them, it was only my 2nd try and I'll be happy with more than half.
