Collecting pollen

I have a new TBH and they're just starting to build comb. I don't want to open the hive for a couple more days. They've just been in it 9 days. Will bees bring in pollen if a queen is not laying or if there is not a queen? I saw some coming in today with their pockets full.

No, the bees will not bring in pollen if there are no eggs or open brood. Sounds like your bees are doing perfectly fine.
