    Default Sweet Bay Magnolia??

Does anyone know if the Sweet Bay Magnolia produces any nectar? Also known as Bay tree, swamp magnolia, or red bay. That is the only thing blooming around my house right now. They are getting plenty of pollen but, not much nectar. I was wondering if that has been because of all the rain we have had or maybe they just don't produce any.

I have these red bays all over. Seldom seen a bee on the flowers. I don't think they get much from it.

Also, there are red bay flowers all over the lakeshore, and at this time of year I never get bees building up. They don't seem to bring much in, and the hives don't gain weight. In other words, it's a dearth.
