    Default Homeade ATV Disk

Have any of you built a atv disc? I want to use it in my garden and at the deer lease. I cannot justify the cost of a new one. Anyone?

Find an old 8' disc laying somewhere. Torch off a section(they usually have 2 or 4 sections depending if it is a double or not) of it and weld a hitch to it. That's what I got. Weld on some brackets to hold weights also.

Like Beeslave said. Find a used one made for a tractor and modify it. If you look for an “ATV” one your going to pay extra.

Here is a 5' one on craigslist

Look for used Simplicity Tractor dis(-)s or cub cadet, I found two sets of them (free) and rigged them together to make a tandem set to pull behing my atv. I tried to make them oppose each other like a commercial set and this did not work, it just danced back and forth even with the weight. I guess they are three feet wide.
It is not the best thing on the market but it sort of works alright, I placed a solid concrete block on top of each section to weigh it down.
I think a set of harrows would be better than these are to till up ground.
