Yup. That's a 'poof' bird alright.

Wind turbines can go 'poof' as well:

Maybe you should consider this hybrid solar/wind concept:

    http://www.treehugger.com/files/2008...ic-concept.php

    No dead birds, bees, goats.

    No catastrophic failures.

No divided communities, angry neighbors, lawsuits.

    The best part?

You can harvest both solar energy and wind energy at the same time, from the same 'leaf'.

    Think outside the box guys.

Just in case you want to understand the 'other side' of wind power.

Looks like that right wing group could generate it's
own electricity from all the hot air it generates.

Here's a link to Rick Webb and his less than pleased
feeling regarding the misrepresentation of his report
they sited. I wonder how much else of their "facts"
    are misrepresented???

And listen....... sure there are negative impacts of
any power generating systems. But when compared
to fossil fuel burning........ they are minimal.

Rick thinks that this is a place to get an ojective view:

    http://www.vawind.org./

I bookmarked the various sites so that I can look at the news updates.

Anyone interested in wind power can left click away and read about the issues that are occurring worldwide.

I've also found an abstract of a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation memo on that 'right wing' site.

Regardless, if you have your heart (or head) set on installing a wind turbine, I hope that you find the right unit that will give you years of trouble free, environmentally friendly, operations.
