I am Chip Collins, and I am an Eagle Scout. I keep bees in Haywood County, North Carolina. If the Beekeeping Merit Badge can be reinstated, I pledge to be a mentor for this Merit Badge. Thank you.
I am a former Scout Master and would be happy to mentor scouts in beekeeping.

I will be glad to mentor anyone in my area interested in beekeeping. I think the BSA would do well to reinstate this Merit Badge.

Beekeeping deserves to be back on the list. Not just because a couple of thousand beekeepers say so. Beekeeping should be reinstated because it connects and extends knowledge of several other merit badges. The obvious ones being Nature, Animal Science, Plant Study, and Insect Science.
Just because it might be difficult or possibly even less popular with kids these days, doesn't mean it's not deserving. I was a Scout from 1st Grade through highschool and I never heard of anyone getting the Dentistry merit badge, but last I checked, dentistry is pretty important. So is beekeeping.
I pledge to the BSA that I will act as a mentor to scouts if BSA reinstates the Bekeeping Merit Badge.

I pledge to be a beekeeping mentor for scouts in my area of San Jose California and Sacramento California.
I would be happy to help Boy Scouts by getting certified to be a merit badge mentor / instructor.
In my mind beekeeping is all about what Scouts does for boys. Getting in touch with nature and themselves.
