Bryn, mason bees live just fine in Georgia... and since you're above them, I dont believe there would be problems.

There are certain things you'd need to ensure are present: good source of pollen, a shelter with straws/reeds on a east/south wall, and good source of clayey mud nearby.

In general, most people are successful under these parameters. Don't forget to harvest your bees in the fall to see what pests are present.
