New "to me" equipment

I just picked up some used equipment.

Maxant parallel radial extractor. This was heavy as heck and we loaded it with a sort of manual dolly/jack. Fortunately when we got home a couple friends happened by and 4 of us were able to unload and move into the soon to be honey house.

I have no information on age of this extractor. Appears to have room for 21 frames.

Unfortunately the speed controller (Graham 605) may not be functioning so I have to figure that out.

Any information on this extractor will be well received.



Uncapper. This just needs to be cleaned up. (As do the other items.) There are no markings on it as to manufacturer. The actual uncapping is done with parallel "knives" that move back and forth rapidly as the frame descends.

There are hoses to the mechanism for hot water.

Maxant bottling tank. Maybe around 25 gallons? Has ports for hot water.

Also included were tank for under the uncapper table, long heated tray for running the length of the setup from extractor and uncapper to a pump.

As I mentioned earlier, any information regarding this equipment will be well received. I was only looking for the extractor but couldn't pass up the package price

Probably a Cowan uncapper, we use steam from a pressure cooker to heat the knives.

Nice find! Cant really see the bottling tank to well. Looks like its 30+ yrs old.
The Par. Rad. is probably close to 20 years old.

With the Cowen uncapper you can also use a hot water heater and one of the small hot water recycling pumps that normally are used in your house to keep constant hot water at your plumbing fixtures. Works extremely well and is an easy installation with unlimited hot water.

Any insight to the speed controller issue? I have yet to have time to mess with it much. I was told it kept blowing the 15A fuse (inside the controller box). Replaced the fuse but no luck so far. Only about 15F in the shop this morning so I didn't spend much time in there

You probably need a new one. Thats a rather old model speed control.

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought.

I was surprised there was no model number on the machine but I'll send for information at the company email.

Now if I can get the weather or heat in the shop I can get to the cleaning and setting up process.
