    Default Hello and thank you!

Hello, my name is Steve and I can't thank the members of this forum enough for compiling this excellent source of information about beekeeping! .

I started two hives last May and thus far they have survived. Not without some troubles, like the 6-8 lb swarm one sent out 6 weeks after being installed and the dead queen I found one day, but they look to be ready for a productive 2010. I'm planning on doing a split this Spring and start a couple of nukes to bank some queens. I'm also going to set out some swarm traps so we will see how may hives I have next Spring. Again, Thank You!!

Welcome to Beesource and the bee learning curve. I know some 30 year beekeepers that are not still over the learning curve. May God bless your bees in the years to come.
