maxant 3100 or dadant ranger extractor, prefer power but hand crank might be ok if price is right. I don't really need one but I'm never borrowing anything again because I can't handle the stress! Prefer to have my own stuff.

I've used both and bought a Maxant 3100p. Don't get a handcrank, Everyone I've talked to who got a handcrank regretted it and eventually bought power.

We bought the Maxant 3100p, and have loved it. Quality, quality, quality..... great machine and if you have any questions about it, they are only a phone call away and always happy to help. My only regret is that I didn't get the next size up. Go with the power version if you can swing the extra money.
Awww, cmon....hand cranking is so fun!![]()

We only sell maxant extractors and I will only personally use maxant extractors. So far the quality has not been matched by overseas made junk. If you purchase a maxant hand crank there is nothing like the feel of how smooth it turns. The ratio of the gearing is perfect so to keep you from losing your arm yet still getting good enough speed to get the honey out. If your budget does not allow for a powered unit right now the beauty of it is you can always upgrade the crank unit it to a powered unit. I talk to the guys at maxant 3 to 4 times a month and I couldn't be happier with the service.
(well I could be happier if I could get Jake to give me his cost on a power upgrade to our rental extractor)![]()

MAXANT you guys going to have any specials coming up this year.I would love to buy your nine frame extractor but i also need a new living room set.Hmmmmm which one should i get?![]()
You never even told your wife you're getting bees so I don't think an extractor should be a big deal!

MAXANT it's nice to see you haven't raised your prices as far as i can tell.It seems like every year beekeeping supplies keep going up.I made a nine frame extractor out of a olive barrel works OK except i have to sit on top with the drill just to keep it from walking out of the house.Hoping to try one of yours out this year.![]()
Instead of raising our prices, we order more material to help keep the cost down to avoid raising our prices!
