I don't see a lot of mites anywhere, the dead hives have almost none on the bottom board. SSB trays not cleaned for months only have a few mites. The die off is associated with rain and cold. DWV goes on spring, summer and fall, this heavy dieoff comes in the middle of winter. I think it is a virus.

I dont think that my one hive has "had" tracheal mites only for the fact that this is there first wintering but I am thinking that it might of had to do with old come or pesticides? thy where by corn,soybeans, and pumpkins all three butted together in one spot so I put them there
