    Default Hello, aus NRW, Germany

Hello, friends of the honey bee. I have something imkere
longer and have always been in around 10 families, Buckfast
12er Dadant hives with half-high honey chamber. My
Interest is especially true of a varroa resistant bee.
    Greetings from North Rhine-Westphalia,
    Horst

    Welcome Horst,
There are a lot of people working on varroa resistant queens, NWC, VSH, many of the russian bees. You will find a lot of information here.

Welcome Horst, I am quite familiar with your area as I have worked on various projects in NRW. I was at Ford in Niehl and Proctor and Gamble in Euskirchen. I speak the language and if you have a need for some explanation/translation let me know. We have four Langstroth hives here in Kentucky and had a good harvest this year. Of course, we are always nervous that our girls will be able to handle the various difficulties such as Varroa and Small Hive Beatles etc. We make our own equipment with the exception of the frames and foundation. We also experiment with different configurations and assembly methods of the wooden parts. It all is a great hobby and keeps our interest as retirees on something other than the "Glimmerkiste" (the TV). Good luck with your bees, take care and have fun.

Hi Alex, I am very pleased with the friendly
Welcome. I'm still 13 hives and the Varroa
gives me such great care in each year. I treat
my bees with oxalic acid instillation, and 3 to 4 times every
8 days. What do you do against the mite?
The summer harvest this year was special for me
well, I guess nectar from white clover and summer linden.
