Changing Hive?

Guys earlier this spring I caught a swarm and desided to make a TBH. Not know what I was doing I looked at a picture and made a cheep hive. Well now after lots of learning I just don't think its a good hive for winter. Its starting to cool around here but next week our highs will still hit the mid 70's. What I want to do is build a new hive with thicker material and everything else being the same. Then place the hives side by side and transfer all the Top bars over into the new hive. Do you think 70's is to cold? Is it getting to late in the year to do this? Any other advise would be great.

70's is fine for what you want to do. As long as your bars fit the other one fine you shouldn't have any problems at all.
