I wouldn't say that it isn't pollen but...hmmm, looks like they got powered sugar dusted, dab your finger in it and give it a taste. Second thought I don't think I would.
How many bees are showing up like that?

Quite a few and in more than one hive.

I hope its not seven (sp) dust. Maybe take a sample to the extension office. I wish I had more ideas.

The first pic looks like a bee that is working a flower with long anthers that are touching the bees as they work that flower.

My bees look simular in the spring when they are working the horsemint. They bury themselfs in it and it gets all over them.
