Hello Folks,
I had two bumble bee nests in my back garden. One was in the compost bin and the other next to it under the ground. They were doing well until late July, when activity stopped. Can anyone let me know anything about bumble bees and why they have stopped working or maybe died out. It was such a shame to lose them. I can now use the compost bin, will try to find the nest underneath, but need some help doing this. Any info welcome.
PS I don't keep honey bees anymore, but know quite a bit about them and still a friend of the Ashford Beekeepers. I now have several solitary bee houses, which were very successful this year.
