    Default A True Opportunist

I thought this was a bit finny when I seen this spider setting up shop beside one of my hives. I counted 17 bees in her web. I did not kill her, just took a stick and circled it around the web gathering her and her ill gotten booty and moved her to another location.

They look creepy, but the argiopes do a great job taking care of insects in the gardens. We try to encourage them. Didn't know they had a yen for bees .

Guess I'll encourage them away from the hives .

Yea thats a good spider, we have black widows setting up shop under our hives.
I treat them a little differently when I get a hold of them.

Yes, she was setting up a new shop, during tough economic times, and it was a good idea while it lasted.Free enterprise at work.
