Apiguard: How much to use?

The Apiguard package says to use 50 grams per hive -- this is the amount that comes prepackaged. But I have read that 25 grams works almost as well and is much easier on the bees. Does anyone have any experience on using smaller amounts than 50 grams?

try randy olivers web site he wrote an article on it from what I heard it said use a smaller amount but do it closer together in time and do it three times instead of twice. I'm not sure the info is posted as i didn't go look.

note i've never seen any damage using the recomended dosage at high temps.
