fume board

i am wanting to do my first ever honey extraction and i need a fume board and some bee-go or bee-quick. does any one have an extra thay would part with

A quick cheap fume board would be to make a rim the size of your hive top with 1X2 material then staple cardboard to the top. Works better than a bought fume pad IMO.

Fume board- don't waste your time with extra bulk. Use a cotton towel 2 in. wider and longer than the hive body. Attach a 1" x 2" the width of the towel on each end to keep the wind from blowing it off. The only problem is if you have a lot of burr comb between boxes w/ honey in it your towels will become sticky. Hose them off, air dry, then they are ready to go. Mine will go 500-1000 supers before they need washing.
