I knew it would taste GREAT! I did a mix in of real bacon bits in vanilla ice cream a few years back and it was real tasty! If only you could milk pigs instead of cows - now that would make the PIG the BEST animal ever!

Pound for pound an average sow will yield more milk than a top holstein cow.
All in all, however, I'd have to say pigs still have to take a backseat to the cow after watching the damage that pigs do to your property.
I can still eat a hamburger without cussing.

But Iknow what you mean the damage is unbelievable if you're not acquainted. The wild ones up in the hills make it look like a plow went through, literally.

My wife and I decided to sausage the sow and donate her to the rescue mission early one afternoon... We had fresh shoulder roast that night and just about changed our minds. We have been flip-flopping back and forth since then... It's just almost worth it.

OK, here's the skinny..... Bacon ice cream = mmmmmm very good,
Guiness beer ice cream = mmmmmm excellent..... red wine (something can't remember) ice cream = very good as well....now for the ratings...

1. Guiness
2. Beacon
3. Red wine.

Yep, it did taste like guinness.... very, very good. I was going to order a gallon of it and cruz Bakersfield, but I'm sure I would have gotten drunk or the cops would have cited me for having an open container

Why not omit the cream or butterfat and substitute "LARD" or pan drippings?
Can you get it in hickory smoked?
