what size is a medium?

I assume a medium is a 75/8 inch hive body is this correct?

this the size that most of you use when you are using one size for brood chambers and supers?

I use a 6 5/8" for all. Also called an Illinois Super.

the7 5/8'' are called westerns. they may have other names as well. seem like pretty uncommon equipment.
