ok folks some wisdom is needed tonight. i caught a swarm tonight and i filled 10 frames with brood comb and put the bees in it. but i had a half a bucket left of capped honey. how can i extract the honey out of it when it is not attached to a frame. is there a trick.

Crush and strain. With some fresh cut comb.

Plunk another empty box on top, lay down some newpaper, and just lay the comb on top.

Is this to feed the colony and brood below? Not an extraction technique right?

Yeah they will clean it up and store it in the new comb on the frames. That way either they can have it, or you can extract it later with the rest of them.
