    Default Newbie in S. California...

    Hello all!
I'm new to beekeeping, something I've been interested in for quite some time. I have the very good fortune to have made acquaintance with a beekeeper that is now teaching me the art.
I hope to have my own hives next Spring. Meanwhile, I'll be learning as much as I can.
I have so many (beginner's) questions that I hope to find answers here, as well.

Welcome from a fellow SoCal beekeeper, Salvia. There are definitely some things unique to our area/climate when it comes to hive management (our lack of a real "winter" being one of them), and we've got a number of CA beekeepers online--- most with much more experience than me--- so feel free to fire away when you've got questions, and we'll try to give you the local slant.
