Default Honey uncapped and running out in open "slash" area

We inspected our hives today - one hive has an area about 2x2 in the upper corner of a frame where the honey is not in nice neat comb, but is rather like an open slash - honey could have pored out if we'd tipped the frame. I see no way the bees can cap it because we could not see any comb. Is this just a normal oddity, or could this be a symptom of SHB? Thank you thank you.

It's normal. You probably tore some burr comb when you pulled the frame. The bees will fix it.
