I am having a tough time with new bees from swarms and cutouts this spring. Usually I find the queen right away and put her in a queen cage for a couple days.

I didn’t want to do that this year so I have not been adding brood to swarms, shutting up the hives or adding excluders. Have been feeding the swarms 1:1.

Usually leaving me in a day or two.

What is everyone else doing?
