Default New In New Mexico / Southern Rockies

    GoodAfterMorning,

I'm just re-entering the bee world after 30 year absence. Looking to hear about regional bee-pecadillos relative to Northern New Mexico / Flora Vista area. I'm native to Tennessee.

    What's in bloom here now?

How long will the bloom/s typically last ?

    Unique problems in this area?

    Default Farmington

    Hey JR

I’ m Greg – Virginia’s husband. Portia told her that you had gotten a colony. I’m not the most experience beekeep in the Farmington area, but if you need something let me and I’ll see what I can do to help. There are some very good beekeepers in this area.

If you up to catching swarms let me know. I try to go out whenever I get a call.

I think you have our number, so give a shout sometime.

    Greg

Welcome back to beekeeping. One of the toughest things here is the limited forage. All the other stuff, like the weather and the pests and diseases are common to every other beek in the country I think. We don't seem to have small hive beetles here (yet), and moisture inside the hives isn't much of a problem.
