Hi,
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new to beekeeping. Well, I've been to an introductory 1 day course and I've got some books. I've managed to get hold of some land to put some hives on and the membership of my local beekeepers association is in the post.

I've got just one question at the moment: is it too late to start a hive this year? Or should I get some experience over this year and start in the spring next year.

Is it too late??? I don't know anything about your climate.
but I would guess it is not.
