egg and bee math
I picked up a swarm last Wednesday morning the 29th and around noon put in a frame with lots of eggs on it. Now here is the bee math part....I looked into that hive Sunday May 3rd and saw more eggs on the outer fringes of the larvae and newly capped cells.
Are these new eggs from the swarm queen or the original eggs that have not gone into the larval stage yet? Do you count the day the egg is laid as day 0 or day 1. From the 29th would be day 4 or 5 depending on how you count?

like small grains of rice eggs.
or small C shapped "worms" (larva) in the bottoms of the cells.
based on the info i rely on, the "grain of rice" only stays in that state for 1-3 days. so 4-5 days is well into the C shapped larva stage
remember ~day9 is when cells get capped.
definitely eggs the day the frame went in...in fact I was amazed how many eggs were on that frame. There were larvae of various sizes also.
I heard the egg only stands on end the first day, then falls sideways.
