Hello,,

I am a beginning beekeeper starting with two hives. Really glad to have found this forum.

Right now I am trying to decide where to place my hives. Any advice...I have some pups in a pen and I wanted to know how far away I should put the bees from the pups or if it was a real issue...

I'd keep the bees at the other end of the yard myself. They
can get cranky at times.

Thank you for your advice. I have a place that is outside the yard about 30-40 feet. Do you think that is far enough away? Also, my neighbors have a pool that is about 100 yards away from my spot. If I keep water handy for my bees do you think that will be a problem with bees in the pool?
