    Default flycatcher eating my bees!

OK, so how much concern does this deserve? I have a flycatcher who has decided to make her nest 20 yards from my bee hive. She really seems to enjoy eating my bees!

Anyway, how much can a family of these eat? Should I be concerned?

I know they eat wasps and other undesirables.

    Default Can't answer your question,

Sorry, I have the same problem. My yard has an abundance of birds this year. I decided they are eating my bees. I'm hoping my queen can keep up with their appetite.

    Default Flycatcher Control

They make a few different models of Flycatcher controllers. I have tried almost all of them. They all work great.

I have Eastern Phoebes, Scissor-tail Flycatchers, and Great Crested Flycathers here, and although I'm sure they eat some bees, they also eat other small insects and bugs. I don't use pesticides, so there's plenty for them to choose from. I figure that helps keep the bee mortality rates down somewhat.

Yup. That's the one. Took quite a few, but I finally got enough of them to roll up in Bacon. Funny thing is. They kinda taste like chicken.

Ground up Eastern Phoebe ready for the smoker
