Welcome to our group. Have you gotten bees or are you just contemplating? I noticed you are from the Ottowa area, I grew up in the Toronto area and still go back to visit sometimes (only when it's not freezing).

I don't have any bees - I'm trying to figure out what I might be able to do in my own backyard - if anything... my backyard's in Oshawa - sounds like Ottawa but it's actually closer to Toronto

Well, welcome anyways-I have family from Oshawa too! Back yard hives are great-I've got two in my largish yard and luckily my neighbors are excited about them too.
