I have had bees now for two years.
The first year was easy, but now I'm running into the hard stuff.
The weather has been wishy washy so we haven't checked them too closely.
We opened the hives Easter weekend and found one hive with no honey and a large quantity of dead bees plus the queen was dead. The other hive is doing just fine.
We took everything apart, cleaned off the excess comb, and set the hive back up. We decided to order a package of bees from Kelley and are awaiting their arrival.
In the mean time, my husband looked at the hives again today, and the hive we reassembled has bees going in and out and they seem to be fighting each other. Can we put the new bees in this hive.
Thank you for any advice on this situation.
