    Default Can I move a hive at 45 to 50 F?

I have sold 2 hives to a person with a 4 hour drive from me. It should be about 45 to 50 F on the weekend. Can the bees handle this? They will be in the back of a truck
    Thanks for any help

Yes. I have moved them on an open flatbed before when the temps were in the 30's. Cover openings, and tie down well. Should be no problem.

I have had bees on the trailer for hours when it was 13F and at 75 F. I was much more concerned about the 75F. Those temps are fine just make sure you either net or screen them because you will have a lot of flight.

Don't worry about it, just do it. Cooler temps are better, imo. Like what has already been said.
