Default Dead hive honey to feed new?

I had one of two hives survive the winter. The dead hive has 60+ lbs. of honey still capped in the top. Could I use that to feed the living hive and/or the new bees I buy? Maybe I'd be better off eating the honey and giving he bees syrup?

This month marks my 12th as a bee keeper so I'm still on the green side of things. Thanks for your feedback.

Sure...you can feed the honey to the bees. Honey is probably better in the long run. Syrup is fine but I'd use the honey.
