Marla Spivak is a professor of entomology at the
University of Minnesota and specializes in honeybee
work. She is credited for much work on the Minn.
Hygienic line.
I have a class with her in July and if I get a chance
I'll ask her about this work.

I got the info from a presentation Marla Spivak gave to the Utah Beekeepers Association. I don't know if it's published yet or not.
