    Default First Wild Texas Tree Blooms

    OK ,I made a mistake last night in the chat room. The tree I described was the wrong tree. I found the right tree. I have a picture of this trees flower in bloom .


    The right tree was a Carolina,Laurel cherry, I took the pics just a bit ago, here it is.

    The mayhaw tree grows wild all up and down the Neches river bottom. I have three here,and they have been blooming for almost two weeks. Without spraying for cedar rust, all you'll get in deformed, knobby, and totally inedible little berries. They say that mayhaw extracts is very good for the heart. I dunno about that, but pair up mayhaw jelly with a hot bisquit, and am a satisfied man....LOL
